Two Big Days of Rodeo Action in the beautiful Pecos Valley
Rodeo is dedicated to Memory of Amanda Byrne.
We are honored to dedicate this rodeo to the memory of Amanda Lynn Byrne.
Not only was Amanda one of our 2010 rodeo Duchesses, a straight A student, a member
of the National Honor Society, a cheerleader and a runner, but she was also a beloved
daughter, sister and classmate.
Amanda, the youngest of seven children, had already enrolled at UNM to pursue a career
as a pharmacist when her life was cut short in a train accident at the young age of nineteen.
This warm, beautiful, vibrant young lady always had a smile for the outcast or the new
kid on the block and she always wanted to help out those who needed it.
Pecos Valley Cowboy Church is honored to partner with the Byrne family and the people of
Pecos in honoring our beloved Amanda by contributing proceeds of this rodeo to the
Amanda Lynn Byrne Scholarship Fund.
